Welcome to PEG Wiki

PEG stands for "Post-apocalyptic economic game". It is an experimental game development project designed to test several ideas about open source development, like commundo and ultraepisodic release policy. Hopefully the tests will go fine and we will also have a working and fun game as a result. PEG wiki will be a central meeting place for the project for some time. Because the project is small and slow right now, I will keep most of the content on the Wiki on or close to the main page. Discussions can take place on the "discussion" page or on the #freegamer if I or any other project member is online.

Project News

  • I am having some troubles updating the wiki. I hope to fix them during the weekend.
  • I have successfully compiled our repository version, so I have created a Build instructions.
  • An initial import to the repository has been made. So far it is just FIFE with PARPG client included, but I hope soon we can start to modify it.
  • A TODO page has been created with an embedded Google Wave TODO mindmap. If you do not have a Wave account, we can provide you with an invite.
  • Some wiki reorganization has took place. Design documents now have their own page Game design. I have also cleaned up the Main Page a bit and installed a Google Wave extension, although I still have to test it.
  • An Awesome PEG Manifesto has been written. Comment!
  • A repository at GitHub has been created the url is http://github.com/m64/PEG.
  • TheAncientGoat is preparing a list of his ideas for the game with things like raw materials, character stats, technologies etc. So far he has created it in a form of a mind map and I am still looking for a good Mediawiki plugin that would allow us to edit the map online.
  • Remember that you can subscribe to the page change RSS to get notified of the updates.
