Awesome PEG Manifesto

We are an awesome team and we are making an awesome game. You can join us and be awesome too! But before that, you need to know the awesome core ideas behind the project.

• The game is Free Software. Project is run according to the Free Software and Open Source philosophies. This is a point that we are not willing to compromise on. We think this is the right way to make software and that it is possible to use it to make games that are awesome.
• Our goal is to make a Free game that may not be perfect but is remarkable - something we can proudly make remarks about in front of our friends to show them how awesome we are. Remarkable is better than perfect - Fallout was not perfect, but was remarkable and thus awesome.
• We should enjoy working on the project. The financial remunerations are unlikely and so your personal enjoyment of doing an awesome job is the only payment we can offer. For that reason team members should take care to not diminish other members' enjoyment of the project - remember that every other team member is also awesome.
• Communication is of utmost importance. Even if you can't commit as much work as you would like to, try to keep in touch with the team anyway - aside from work we also need your company, opinions and ideas. After all it is always pleasant to talk to someone awesome.
• PEG is not your day job, so we can't order you to take a certain task or expect you to deliver before a set deadline. For the same reason you can't expect others to stay away from a piece of work you wanted or even declared to do. Don't be possessive about it - this is Free Software after all - instead, cooperate to make this piece even more awesome.
• PEG is in many ways an experimental project. As with all experiments, accidents and failures are expected to happen. So if they do, don't be harsh on yourself or anyone else - remember that troubles along the way only augment our awesomeness.
• There are other awesome Free Software gaming projects. We don't compete with them - we cooperate and thus make the whole world more awesome.
